Welcome to our beautiful rural school, located within a 15 minute drive of Stafford Castle, which is recognised by Ofsted as being‘a tiny school with a big voice’.
We are extremely proud of our school, our pupils, our community and our environment. We embrace our small class sizes, which enable us to deliver a first-class, all round education. In addition, the mixed year groups benefit from a sensitive and supportive environment.
We are delighted to share the positive outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 7 July 2026. Inspectors recognised the warm, nurturing and purposeful environment at Church Eaton Primary School, highlighting that pupils are ‘happy, feel safe and are ready to learn’. They praised the strong relationships across our school community, our effective phonics teaching and the improvements made by leaders, which are enabling pupils to ‘learn more, do more’ and ‘remember more over time’. We are particularly proud that inspectors described our classrooms as ‘buzzing with purposeful learning’ and recognised our commitment to placing pupils at the heart of everything we do. This report is a wonderful reflection of our whole school community — our pupils, staff, volunteers, families and governors — and we are incredibly proud of our ‘tiny school with a BIG voice.’

All the staff have loved welcoming the children back to school today, it has been a beautiful first day! It has been so lovely hearing about their summer adventures, catching up with familiar faces and seeing our classrooms filled with laughter and excitement once again!
And what better way to start the new school year than with a fresh new look for our school! 🏫 We are absolutely delighted with the building work that has taken place over the summer holidays. Church Eaton has had a wonderful refresh, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Whats been done: ⭐️ A new room has been built ⭐️ Children’s toilets have been redone ⭐️ Space has been created by the children’s toilets near the entrance way ⭐️ All new flooring in the corridor ⭐️ Staff toilets redone
It’s been fantastic to see the children enjoying their new and improved surroundings as they begin another year of exciting learning and memory making.
A huge thank you to everyone who has worked behind the scenes over the summer to make this happen! We are incredibly proud of our school and cant wait to see all that this new school year brings! ❤️
⭐️Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming our local MP @leighinghammp to Church Eaton Primary School! It was great to feel heard and supported, and meant so much, especially with us being such a rural community!
⭐️Leigh met with our Church Eaton Champions, who asked her lots of great questions! We even found out what her favourite type of sausage is!
⭐️A huge thank you to Leigh and her team for taking the time to visit us and listen to all we had to say! We may be a small school, but we have a big voice and we loved the opportunity to share it!

We had the please of having @rocksteadymusicschool come in to give us an assembly and show us how to play some of the instruments, and they sounded incredible! All the pupils had such a brilliant morning rocking out to music!
Children can now learn to play an instrument through weekly band lessons! You can choose if they shine on vocals, keyboard, drums, guitar or bass! Parents: a letter will be sent home and via dojo for more information!...
⭐️We are so excited to share we have been donated 12 brand new benches for our outside area! They have been supplied by Mick Leonard of Best Benches at Wheaton Aston! www.bestbenches.co.uk
⭐️ These benches have been donated to us from fund raising efforts of FranFest/ Church Eaton Big Camp Out. For those of you who are not aware, FranFest was created in memory of Fran, one of our brilliant pupils mum, who sadly passed away. Before passing she had the idea of organising an outdoor/camping event for the school, like a mini festival. After her passing some parents decided to pick up the idea and have it in her memory to raise funds for both charity and the school. In 2025 the name was changed to Church Eaton Big Camp Out to encourage more people within the school to come along. This will be the 4th year of the event taking place at Play@Lower Drayton.
As a school, we are so grateful for the donations we get through this amazing cause, and we cannot wait to attend this year! ❤️...
This week we are celebrating all our pupils! They have been challenged to record every kind act that they see or do and connect it to their class chains. Our goal is to put all the chains together and to get this chain to go around the whole hall! The children have made a great start!...
This week we are celebrating our children that entered @youngartistsuk ‘Food Friends’ competition. Everyone who took part had their artwork published in a book, which is now proudly displayed in our library! 📚
A huge congratulations to Emily, who not only had her artwork featured in the book, but also her design was chosen for the front cover! She also won a fantastic bag of art goodies!
Tis the season to sparkle! ✨Our pupils (and staff!) brought the festive cheer yesterday in their Christmas jumpers! The children brought in lots of donations for our raffle prizes in exchange for wearing their jumpers which is amazing! Thank you to all the parents for getting the children involved with this great day! All the children looked amazing! ❤️...
🎭 Our pantomime trip was full of laughter and cheers, oh yes it was! The @gatehouse_theatre production of Sleeping Beauty was incredible, and the children LOVED it!! Two of our children even got the chance to go on the stage! What a great experience!

We had a brilliant morning last Friday, welcoming the parents in for the morning! We launched our new Pupil Development Passport to the parents and had them in for our changemaker morning! All classes looked at ‘what makes me happy’. The children, with the help of their parents, creating a mood board on what makes them happy. They turned out brilliantly! It was such a special morning and the end product was spectacular!

What an amazing art workshop the children had last week! They had the opportunity to create some hot chocolate reindeers and some snow globes! The children even got to create their own santas! The children loved it and had a fabulous time!

Another great week of EKO in our brilliant forest school area! This week, Class 2 have been busy making Christmas trinkets to sell at our Christmas Carol Concert! They look wonderful! @educatingkidsoutdoors
SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership. The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support.
