Welcome

Welcome to our beautiful rural school, located within a 15 minute drive of Stafford Castle, which is recognised by Ofsted as being ‘one big family’ where ‘the warm and welcoming atmosphere, based on the school’s motto of ‘Caring, Educating, Succeeding’ permeates throughout the school.’ OFSTED also acknowledged that as a result of our motto that ‘the pupils are well behaved, courteous and kind’. We are extremely proud of our school, our pupils, our community and our environment.

We strive to ensure that each child has the best start in life through promoting and developing confidence and independence as learners who succeed today and are prepared for tomorrow.

Teachers make every effort to ensure that they provide an exciting and stimulating curriculum where children are encouraged to exceed their potential and are always engaged and lead their learning. We believe that children who are challenged flourish and aspire to be the best they can be. Most importantly children at our wonderful school love learning and leave us more than ready for the next part of their academic journey.

We welcome parents at any time during the year for personal tours to see for themselves what we are about.

Caring

Every child is recognised as a unique individual and are encouraged to be sympathetic, compassionate, respectful and tolerant of everyone and everything. The children at our school say that they feel safe and are confident that staff will sort out any problems they have. Children say, ‘Everyone is in one big family in our school.’

At Church Eaton Primary School we place high priority on ensuring children’s mental wellbeing is met. We understand that children will not be successful learners unless they are emotionally secure, therefore we carefully design our curriculum and adopt a flexible approach to timetabling to ensure that we can meet and respond to any issues which may arise. Children’s wellbeing is as valued and important as academic development.

We have a reputation for being a nurturing and caring school. Generally people are drawn to those who are thoughtful and compassionate and we aspire to teach our children those values hand in hand with our parents. Good character traits don’t just happen; they need to be taught and nurtured in children. All staff at Church Eaton Primary School are committed to ensure that our pupils are safe, happy and get the most out of their education.

Educating

At Church Eaton Primary School it is our principal aim to recognise individual potential and develop life-long learners who are inquisitive, enthusiastic and collaborative.

We have designed and planned our curriculum to offer a range of experiences which contribute to every child receiving a full and rich curriculum. The range of experiences we offer support and champion our culture and ensures that our children benefit from a full range of academic, spiritual, moral, social and cultural activities. These activities enrich their lives and those of our whole school community and make them proud of their British Values and diverse society to which they belong and play an active part. We pride ourselves on the fact that our curriculum gives our children the skills, confidence and self-belief to lead a happy and fulfilled life by encouraging them to aim high, be aspirational and work towards their goals and dreams in life.

We continually provide enrichment opportunities to engage learning and believe that childhood should be a happy, investigative and enquiring time, where there are no limits to curiosity and there is a thirst for new experiences and knowledge.

Pupils

We, as the pupils of Church Eaton Primary School, love this amazing school because all the staff and children are like one big family. You feel like you are at home and everyone knows everyone. All the teachers are so kind, caring and willing to help you when you are struggling and give you lots of praise. Also, we have lots of opportunities in school such as WOW days that are so exciting and you can take part in lots of activities and events which boost your confidence and energy.
The school provides us with the opportunity to go for roles such as Head Boy and Head Girl, Team Captains, School Council and Play Leaders. These are all important roles and if you do them you are taking on a big responsibility as you set the example to other children; help the teachers; encourage our peers to do really well in lessons and on the playground; and you help make decisions for the school. We as pupils have a voice and we believe this is very important as it makes us feel valued and try even harder.

This school is really amazing and all the pupils that attend think the same.

Succeeding

Celebrating achievements is an intrinsic part of Church Eaton Primary School. We believe that to ensure children feel valued for all their hard work, success, however big or small, within school or outside of school, must be commended and is fundamental to a child’s personal and academic development. We feel that when you accomplish something and don't take the time to celebrate, you are depriving yourself of an important feeling that reinforces success. So much of what we do in education is driven by our mind-set. Celebrating successes not only feels good physically, but it reinforces the behaviour we want to appear when a child faces a new challenge or opportunity.

Finally, success creates more success. Celebrating success isn’t necessarily just about the individual, but it can also give others the chance to join in and be motivated to do well themselves. Here at Church Eaton Primary School, we believe in inspiring the children to be the best that they can be.
