We are a mixed Year 5 and Year 6 class taught by Mr. Daniels with classroom support from our Learning Support Assistant, Mrs. Hill.
Pupils continue to follow a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong focus on reading, writing and mathematics, while also engaging in a rich range of foundation subjects that develop their knowledge and curiosity. As pupils progress through Upper Key Stage 2, increasing emphasis is placed on developing independence, resilience and deeper understanding across the curriculum. Year 6 pupils will prepare for the Key Stage 2 SATs, while continuing to develop the skills needed for a successful transition to secondary school.
We strive to maintain a positive, purposeful, inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, take pride in their achievements and grow as confident learners. In Class 4 we are also building chidlren’s confidence as they prepare for the next stage of their learning.

At Church Eaton we work in 6 week blocks. We create a block overview for each class that sums up the learning for each block! Please see those block overviews for this year here:
