Class 1 is home to our Nursery and Reception children. Miss Langan is the teacher in our room, with support where necessary from Mrs Corcoran. Our Early Years class provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children begin their school journey with curiosity and confidence. Through a balance of adult-led activities and child-initiated learning, pupils develop key skills across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
A strong emphasis is placed on early language, phonics and number skills, helping children to build firm foundations for reading, writing and mathematics. Through play-based learning, exploration and structured phonics teaching, children develop the confidence and independence needed for a successful transition into Key Stage 1.
We aim to create a warm, supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, develops independence and enjoys learning. We are proud to be the strong foundation upon which the rest of the school builds, nurturing confident, happy and independent learners ready for the next steps in their school journey.
