Our class is a mixed Year 3 and Year 4 group taught by Mrs Deakin, with valuable classroom support from our Learning Support Assistant, Miss Scanlan.
The curriculum remains broad and balanced, with a strong emphasis on developing core skills in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside a wide range of foundation subjects. A particular focus during this stage is the development of times table fluency, especially for our Year 4 pupils who will complete the Multiplication Tables Check at the end of the academic year.
We aim to create a calm, focused and inclusive classroom where children are encouraged to work independently, take pride in their learning and continue building confidence across the curriculum.
At Church Eaton we work in 6 week blocks. We create a block overview for each class that sums up the learning for each block! Please see those block overviews for this year here:
